Countertop DIY Program
This easy to install program is designed to assist the Do-It-Yourselfer so you can easily put together your own work of art. A typical solid granite countertop can exceed $10,000 and you can easily accomplish the same thing in the hundreds.
There are many beautiful granites, marbles, natural stone and porcelain products that can achieve the look you want.
Each of the products listed in this category have a corresponding Vcap, Vcap corner, rail molding, surface bullnose and/or quarter-round that finishes the edge of the countertop.
- The process of very simple and a typical countertop is 24" deep and the 12"x12" tiles or mosaics work out very well, but you can also utilize 4x4 or 6x6 and achieve a great look as well.
- First lay out the tiles you are going to set to see how they will fit.
- Second place the rail trim or bullnose to see how it will fit on the countertop. Once done then apply the trim with mastic to the counter.
- After it is set apply the tile using the full pieces against the trim and cutting if necessary the tile against the wall.
- Make sure to make the grout joints as small as possible (approx 1/8") and after grouting using a good sealer.
- Once complete then accent the backsplash with any combination of our stone, metal and glass decos and mosaics.
